Friday we had decent weather for a few hours, and seeing as how I had yet to get Em's one-year pictures, I figured when I changed her that then was as good a time as any, right? Apparently, my daughter's sense of independence was bucking against me telling her what to do for twenty minutes, so our "photo session" lasted about two instead.
Whereas with her 9 month pictures it was hard, but doable, this time around, it was nearly impossible. Todd came home and looked at the 100+ pictures and laughed because he said they were just like a flip book. I had to explain that I was hoping if I just kept down button to take pictures, I might come out with one or two decent ones. Two was apparently a long shot but here they are.
That said, I think I have overshot or missed completely just about 99% of all the holidays and birthdays and such in the last 6 months. Today is Father's Day and not only did we forget to get Daddy a card, but we also forgot to go to the grocery store so that we had something besides old pancakes and coffee for him for breakfast. He did, however, get to watch the Springbock/Lions game last night while eating fresh cookies with his favorite girl (under 2 feet of course) so part of me doesn't feel as badly as I should... this was a real treat, after all!
