Hard Part Done

Over the weekends, I generally make out a "to do" list for each day of the week.  Some days have nothing while others have five or six things.  I do this so I don't forget things, even the most obvious things have become difficult to remember (go to the gym, buy groceries, etc).  I also make out a dinner menu for the week, which in the States was a savior to my sanity.  For some reason, by the time five o'clock rolls around and I'm trying to figure out what to make (because I didn't defrost anything because I forgot that morning) I have two brain cells left, and they usually are screaming for pizza.

So, I made out my list for the week.  I try to plan it so that IF I have errands to run, I get them done around the same time every day.  That way, Em can still nap at home in her bed and it doesn't make for a long day for me.  Today is Wednesday.  I have been trying to get Monday's "to do" list done since Monday... it's Wednesday!!!  Thankfully, though, I was able to make it all the way through the list and got most everything done (didn't get the M&Ms for a recipe because they only had peanut ones and they were too expensive for me to just concede) but now, I'm sitting here, doing one of the things I love most, with a decently clean house, a happy husband reading a new book and snacks and munchies ready for our Bible study group who will be coming in about 45 minutes.  My dinner menu went to pot and today was a long day for me (Em did just fine despite being woken up from her nap early to get to devotions at the Regional Office in time), but it's done.  So now, all I have to do is sit here, relax and enjoy friends for a few hours... it might have taken three days to do, but I've got to admit that it was worth it!
