First Day of Preschool: Take II

We tried Em in a preschool last year around this time. She did really well, but after only a few weeks, it was clear that I was operating with an American set of rules/standards which did not necessarily translate well with her South African preschool. I didn't know the questions to ask (first kid gets all the screw-ups anyways, right?) and as a result, found myself in a place I never anticipated being in with a child. So, we backed off, took some time, and got better educated about the system here and then, went shopping.
What I found were TON of places that Em would have done beautifully in but the educator in me wanted that little something "extra," so we kept looking. That's when I stumbled onto Hilltop and decided to enroll Em. It's beautiful, clean, diverse and has a wonderful curriculum. The best part? When I picked Em up from school today, she BEGGED to stay with her teacher and new friends. Things that make this mom's heart sing...
I sure am rockin' the "big-girl-with-the-backpack" look, aren't I?!
Hi world. Just reminding you, I'm ready to go.
No. Seriously. Can we PLEASE GO NOW?!?!?!
