I'm sure someday I'll remember what it's like to sleep until 7 am, but until then, our house is up and awake much earlier than that, no matter if it's Saturday morning or not! Both kids woke up happy and smiling, so Todd and I thought it'd be great to have some family tickling in our bed. Cooper enjoyed hanging out. Todd enjoyed hanging out. I enjoyed hanging out. Em enjoyed it... until she remembered that it was morning and it was time for breakfast. It still amazes me how much she is her mother's daughter (how I cringe now when I think of all the early mornings I have made Todd get out of bed and make breakfast with me- I should have enjoyed every second of that under-down-covers time!) and how quickly we can go from this...
to Em demanding "yummy Daddy!"
But ah, the bliss that is food when you're starving! It makes me chuckle when I think somewhere, some mom is saying to her child at the dinner table, "Eat your food because there's starving children in Africa who don't have any food."

Little does she know, if my daughter doesn't get her food in the 3.7 seconds from the time she realizes she's hungry to her meltdown, that my daughter would count herself among those "starving" kids!!!

"Starving Kid" ---ha ha ha ..... Brittany, I know I've said it before but it IS worth repeating: "Your talent for writing and capturing the moment is incredible!" You've got to turn this into one of the missionary books -- or beyond that. "Life as a Missionary ... now -a days" Of course, YOU can come up with a much better title.
