Bathtubs & Lettuce Tops

There are times when I wonder if going to the hospital to have Murray will be more like a holiday compared to daily life with Em. She makes me laugh, that little handful of spitfire! Tonight, Em and Todd went upstairs to take a bath, and I heard the following and it made me laugh hysterically: "Em, please don't throw the Q-Tips in the toilet... Emmerson Capri, where did that chicken (part of her dinner) come from and why is in the tub?!" Like I said, totally laughed out loud, not because of the comments themselves (although those were funny) but because those are the types of crazy things that come out of my mouth all the time, and make me wonder if they sound as weird to others who can hear them as they do to me. She's hit that wonderful stage where she mimics everything. That translates to all the lettuce in the backyard been plucked, but just the tops because she see's daddy harvesting the crop of lettuce.  Also, Em's water or milk has turned into her own cleaning solution (you should try is out some time, wonderful for getting a nice, shinny gloss) for the floor, the carpet, the coffee table and so much more! At least she's trying to help, and she's so cute when she gives us that look that says, "Look Mom/Dad! Aren't you proud of me for helping?!" What can I say, she takes after her father :)

I love it when you have to call your child by her full name . .
Emmerson Capri Leslie :-)
We are talkin' serious business here! -ha ...serious to the parent, not the child -ha

Oh the perils of parenthood ..
you gotta' love them!

Keep enjoying these days -- and taking the adorable pictures of Em!
