Camp Grounds

Okay, so we were told that we were going 'camping' with a group from the church.  We were going to leave for the camp site Sunday and be back on Friday evening: 6 days.  For the price (including food and all), I was expecting a hole in the ground for a bathroom, crumby scenery and lots of spiders and bugs, with PB&J for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  What we got was unbelievable.  We stayed in Blythe River Canyon on the grounds of a private chain of nature resorts.  There were bath tubs (huge bathtubs!) and wonderful showers.  Everything was impeccably kept up and since it was a nature reserve, there were wandering kudu and springbok (both deer-like), baboons and monkeys... it was unbelievable.  (I know, suffering for Jesus in South Africa, right?)  Em loved the monkeys best.  More stories to come, but I didn't want to overwhelm the first day back.

This is the view from our front tent flap... this mountain was INCREDIBLE!

Em and Rizea hanging out at pre-breakfast.  Most of us were still in our pajamas at 10 am, but that's what holiday is for, right?

That's my kind of camping!
I noticed Em had on a cap and mittens --- was the weather cool?

Looking forward to reading your camping experiences!
