This past week at the kids' pre-school, they had graduation for the Grade 0 (here, said as Grade Not). In the US, this is the Kindergarten equivalent. Our school year runs from January-December. Em has been going to Hilltop for almost four years. She started a bit early but it was the exact school she needed to be in, small (a dozen or so kids, plus or minus here and there), committed teacher, great friends and she has proven to be the kid who thrives under the Montessori method. This graduation, which was rather a large group for our small little school (5 total graduates), was deeply felt by my girl. Many of her long-standing friends said their goodbyes to 'little school'. Here is Em, practicing her graduation poem. Even though she didn't graduate and neither Todd nor I have grown since last fall (unless you count pant size), I found this particularly applicable at the moment. You know what they say, from the mouths of babes...

From the Mouth of Babes
This little slice of blogger-dom is typically about the kids and our family. The last week or so has been out of character, to say the least. Thank you, for whomever you are that continues to read and especially for the encouragement and prayers. They are greatly felt.
