Because sometimes, I need a little reminder that she's still so young and cute and innocent... okay, not so innocent some days, but at least in this she is!

Sometimes You Feel Like A...
Because some days, he's beautiful and smiling and wonderful. And, because some days, he's not.
Getting Ready
Wednesday is the BIG DAY. Grammy and Poppy will be here and Em is rather excited. Coop, well, Coop is Coop and that means he's just snotting on everyone (sorry if that's too graphic!). She hasn't seen any family since December and she's realizing that those faces on the pictures we show her, and the faces on the computer screen are the same people. Anyways, Saturday morning saw a massive amount of furniture rearranging. The kids were doing an awesome job of finding toys and pacifiers that had fallen behind and under things. But all good things must come to an end, and when we found both Cooper and Emme eating toilet paper, we said enough. I told Todd to "take care of it" because let's face it, if he's around to handle the frustration that is when kids get into things, I let him. I know, I'm a WONDERFUL wife like that!!! Anyways, I came back a minute later and saw this. Todd had this big grin on his face and he said, "Problem solved!" All three of them were so cute I didn't argue.

Cooper's Vuvuzela
Not to be outdone by his sister or dad, Cooper took these vuvuzela trumpeting into his own hands!

Cup of Coffee
I get restless when things stay the same, which is probably one of the blessings-in-disguise that God gave me as a kid. When you live in more than two dozen homes in less than two decades, it's good to be excited for those changes. Anyways, I was getting a bit antsy having the blog look the same for so long. Then a news button popped up one day to say there were new templates, so I looked. A few hours of playing around (it would have taken Todd a few minutes, but this is MY domain and he was NOT allowed to "show me how") and I found this. It's perfect because, well, this is my place to sit down and have a cup of coffee, figuratively speaking, with an adult, again, figuratively speaking.
There are days when I wish I could actually drink this cup of coffee, not decaf but the REAL DEAL (preferably from Moon Monkey with a white chocolate raspberry scone) and have a conversation with another adult that doesn't include "potty" or "Abby Cadabby" or "Mommy says..." or "Cooper Nash no!" Now, I feel like I can have my cake... er, coffee, and drink it too!

Sleep............
I was all proud of myself with Em. The kid slept for 10 hours at 7 1/2 weeks old and has never looked back (unless sick). I knew part of it was a blessing from God (what with moving, moving, moving again and all the travel in between) but I also thought it meant Todd and I were doing something right. Boy was I wrong!
We did all the same stuff with Cooper, but in true Cooper-form, he must do things on his terms, in his time, and in his own way... which usually means with Mom right next to him. Last night, he woke up a few hours after being put down screaming like I'd just chopped off his pinky toe and was inconsolable the better part of an hour. Tonight, he decided that a 15-minute power-nap was all he needed (after flat refusing a morning nap). I would be totally convinced this kid was switched at the hospital... if he were born in a hospital... and didn't look exactly like his daddy...
